Faith is what drives science, faith in your hypothesis and not other. Faith to put it to the scientific method with the belief it's not going to drawn.
Biological phenomena have 2 approaches to it. A super computer handling millions of variables per millisecond or a leap of faith. This is the bridge of science and the divine.
We can check how the weather is going to be in advance or just ask our elders if it's going to rain. For the climate computers can produce more or less accurate predictions. But biological processes seem to be more complex than climate, therefore it's difficult to predict where a paramecium will turn next. Yet we can predict the movement of planets containing such organisms, even galaxies.
How close we can predict the turns of paramecia? maybe with the same precision we can predict climate, maybe not. This is why I think evidence based medicine is just the closer to the truth we can get but never reaching it. The question is if it's enough. Most of the time maybe
But not sure if it will hold true on the future.
